The Taipan engine control unit (ECU) is our aftermarket plug & play ECU exclusively designed for off-road motocross bikes. Thanks to its high-technology 32-bit core, it represents an important step forward to improve the performance of your motorcycle, without sacrificing reliability and smoothness.
This Taipan ECU is unprogrammed and can be configured for any brand/model of motorcycle you require. You will need theĀ UC Bridge TunerĀ to enable this process.
Why Choose the Taipan ECU
Engine control requires precision. With its high technology 32-bit core, at 20,000 RPM, the Taipan ECU guarantees precision of 1/10 of a degree: this means an accuracy within 0.8 microseconds (Āµs) for turning the spark ON.
This precision is the key to guarantee:
- A very consistent engine rotation.
- The possibility of repeating dozens of tests at the bench, always obtaining the same result.
- A perfect reactivity at every minimum change of any point of a map, resulting in more power at the wheel.

Launch Control
For each map, the ECU has a dedicated launch control main table.
UC Bridge & UC Bridge Tuner
The UC Bridge is the connection between the CAN bus of the ECU and the USB port of your PC.
Once the unprogrammed Taipan ECU has been configured with a dedicated brand or model, itĀ cannot be changed. You will be able to modify the maps written into the ECU, but the brand or model which has been configuredĀ cannot be changed.

For tuners, theĀ UC Bridge TunerĀ takes things to the next level. It unlocks full control over map creation, modification, and ECU configuration, giving tuners the flexibility to deliver completely customised performance setups.
TaipanĀ ECU Connections
The Taipan ECU has 4 connectors:
- Main Connector: Compatible with most off-road bikes.
- CAN Connector: Connects to the Handlebar Switch 2 and Data Logger.
- 2nd CAN Connector: Connects to the UC Bridge to communicate with the PC.
- 3rd Connector: Connects to spare analogue inputs and a possible second injector.
Handlebar Switch 2
TheĀ Aim Handlebar Switch 2Ā is the best way for changing the behaviour of your motocross bike. It features 4 push buttons, 11 integrated LEDs, and manages the following settings:
- Up to 5 selectable maps
- Apply fuel corrections
- Activate traction control
- Activate launch control
The Handlebar Switch 2 can also be used as a shift light module.
